Case Study 1: Barbara and Elgin

Barbara and Elgin reached out to our Senior’s Real Estate Group with the goal of selling their long-time family home. Barbara and Elgin had been in their home for over 30 years and, like most homeowners, had built wonderful memories and had collected a lot of “stuff”. When they reached out to our team, they were initially looking for help with the sale of their home however, as we spoke with them, it became clear to us that they needed more. The emotional stress and burden of downsizing, decluttering, packing and transitioning weigh heavily on them.

Our team offered a vertically integrated service that included transition consultation, decluttering and sorting, packing, home repairs, staging, and ultimately preparing the home for sale. Our journey began with a detailed consultation and a physical survey of their home and their belongings. Once it was understood what items were important for them to keep and take with them, our team got to work. Sorting, categorizing, and packing the remaining items for either auction sale, donation, or disposal was a big part of this transition process.

Next, the auction company came in and handled everything. They sorted, batched, tagged, and took images for their online auction. After about a week of showcasing, buyers arrived to pick up their items, and Barbara and Elgin received a nice cheque from the sale.

Once the home was cleared out, our next team came in—*The Preppers*. Our handyman took care of the necessary home repairs, improvements, and cleaning, all in preparation for the stagers. The stagers then showcased the home beautifully with furniture, accent pieces, and artwork.

Finally, our *Marketers* were ready to take over the next step. Our digital photographer, floor planner, videographer, and graphic designer all contributed to creating a comprehensive marketing package.

Once their home was sold and closed, we had the pleasure of running into Barbara and Elgin at their new residence.
